Pauper Secret Confession #80

Use a guidebook.

Guidebooks are $20 tools for $3,000 experiences. Saving money by not buying on is penny-wise and pound-foolish. An up-to-date guidebook pays for itself on your first day in Europe, and in most any other location you wish to visit.

In "Travel Cheap-Travel Well" I list some extraordinary guidebooks you will love. You'll notice I talk about them again in our exlusive and free Top 100 Travel Planning Websites e- course.

Why so much emphasis on guidebooks? Because, even if you're housebound right now, they are excellent ways to travel from the comfort of your armchair. We travel in our MINDS first, and when we finally make that special journey we are much more knowledgeable about our destination.

Paupers always have their noses stuck in a guidebook or general travel book!

The savings you get with a Travel Agent Card are Incredible:

  • 50-75% on Hotel Stays
  • Up to 55% Discounts on Airfare
  • Free First Class Upgrades
  • Deeply Discounted Rental Cars
